It’s All Write

Known for her significant achievements as an academician, soft-skills trainer, and entrepreneur, Dr. Tanvi Gupta is a name to reckon with when it comes to higher education. The founder and CEO of Young Mindz Edtech Advisory LLP and associate professor at New Delhi Institute of Management (NDIM), Dr Gupta’s journey is nothing less than an inspiration for generations to come.
Mastering the art of selling
With a doctorate in management studies, Dr Gupta has a keen interest in comprehending and solving consumer dynamics. Her papers in numerous national and international journals demonstrate the significant impact of her research. “I am skilled at managing several tasks at the same time, thanks to my educational background in management studies,” says Dr Gupta.

As a strong supporter of higher education for every child, Dr Gupta believes that higher education plays a critical role in shaping an individual’s career as well as personal development. It is this deep-seated love for academics and her recognition of the transformative power of education that led her to opt for a career in academics. “Throughout my journey, I never felt any pressure for education. Studying came naturally to me. I thoroughly enjoyed studying at all levels,” she recalls. This passion for learning and teaching has been a driving force behind her decision to become an academician.
“I decided to be an academician myself with the bent to make teaching interesting and experiential,” she states.
Education insight
Making learning interesting and useful for children is at the core of Dr Gupta’s teaching philosophy, which, she says, has served her well throughout her career. However, it was much later she realized the gap in the education system when everyone was under a forced lockdown. It was also the time when Dr Gupta was also hit by the COVID-19 virus. “When I got coronavirus, I had the opportunity to introspect and reconsider my professional goals,” she recalls. This period of contemplation led her to establish Young Mindz Edtech Advisory LLP, a venture aimed at addressing gaps in traditional learning patterns and promoting skill-based education.

Empowering all
The primary goal of Dr Gupta’s venture was to focus on skill-building for school and college students through experiential learning methods. She is a staunch advocate of moving away from rote learning towards application-based education. She informs that the team at her institution delivers sessions online using quality content and engaging methods. Interestingly, Dr Gupta’s firm gained a lot of popularity for its initiatives that empower young writers to author books under expert guidance through the ‘Young Minds as Authors’ workshop, which she says has produced over 2000 young authors both nationally and internationally. “Skills can’t be measured but can be scaled. It is a gradual process of development of writing skills through consistent practice and exposure,” explains the educator.

An author of two books titled Introduction to Digital Marketing, and Services Marketing, Dr Gupta also mentors budding authors. She points out that many authors can’t finish the books due to lack of time. “One common challenge which our generation is facing is time poverty,” says the author, who despite juggling between her multiple roles, finds time to write. “To take a start-up to this level requires commitment of the entire team and a lot of collaboration,” she says.

Dr Gupta takes immense pride in building an empire that not only trains young minds but also inspires women to navigate various roles and responsibilities. “A homemaker who can manage a whole family so well is an epitome of empowerment. She not only values domestic labour but also has a strong mental fortitude,” she opines.
A balancing act

Balancing multiple tasks can be a strength and empowering, Dr Tanvi agrees multi-tasking can be draining and stressful for working women. “Women require a lot of resilience and immense strength to overcome challenges that come in their way while working toward their ambitions,” she believes. She further adds that each woman has different experiences and ways of dealing with different situations.

Over the years, Dr Gupta’s contributions to academia and business have had a big influence on education, especially on the development of skill-based learning and the empowerment of young writers. “Through my initiatives, I want to empower youth and contribute to the society as much as I can,” says Dr Gupta in conclusion.
