NEWS: WOMEN’S DAY SPECIAL
Assigning leadership roles to women is a desirable need for reinforcement of our nation: Journalist Anubha
“Every day is a women’s day. Women are excellent leaders as they are proficient enough to deal with any sort of situation not only on a personal but on a professional front too. And assigning leadership roles to them is a desirable need for reinforcement of our nation. However, leading in the modern era, women’s percentage in the topmost decision-making roles is extremely low.” This was stated by journalist writer Anubha Jain while delivering her speech as the guest of honour/keynote speaker on the occasion of International Women’s Day “Women of Substance 2.0” organized by the Akhil Bhartiya Bhansali Samaj South Ladies Wing in Bangalore on March 10th, 2023.

While talking on the issue of “Women and leadership with equality of gender” journalist Anubha said that despite the improvement in women’s status, gender bias, lack of education, dowry, financial dependence, and the patriarchal society are some crucial factors hindering women to stand equally with men. At top positions, women’s perspectives often remain unnoticed and overlooked. Though gradual change is seen in society. But still, a change in the mindset of society at large is needed. More women on a company’s board and economic empowerment of women are extremely important to bridge the gap of gender inequality.
About 250 women participated in the event. On the occasion, many women-oriented fun-filled activities were organized.
